🍓 Berry Bowl Workshop (Wheel + Handbuilding)

Intermediate Pottery Class | Colorado Springs

Join us for a focused, project‑based pottery workshop where students will create a functional ceramic berry bowl using a combination of wheel throwing and handbuilding techniques.

⚠️ Please note: This is not a beginner class. Students are expected to already know how to throw a basic bowl or cup on the wheel. This foundational skill is required so everyone can move confidently through the project and enjoy the class experience.

🎨 What You’ll Learn

Led by an experienced ceramic teaching artist, this class will guide students through the full process of constructing a berry bowl, including:

  • Throwing a bowl form on the wheel

  • Proper timing and preparation for attachments

  • Handbuilding a perforated filter and handle

  • Attaching components cleanly and securely

  • Functional design considerations for everyday use

This workshop is ideal for intermediate students who want to refine their wheel skills while learning how to successfully add handbuilt elements to thrown forms.
