Youth Offerings
For kids aged 6-17, we offer three different after-school classes covering Painting 🎨, Pottery 🏺, and more. These classes meet weekly on Tuesdays and Thursdays throughout the school year and are designed for those looking for a longer commitment, not drop-in. We also offer monthly drop-in Pottery lessons for teens and youth on Sunday afternoons, where you can sign up for as few or as many as you'd like. Additionally, private Pottery and Painting lessons are available.


Dive Into Creativity: Weekly Art Class for Teens in Colorado Springs
Is your teen ready to dive deeper into the creative world of art? Our year-long, weekly art class for ages 12 and up is designed by professional artist and educator Ms. Rhonda to nurture imagination, build technical skills, and inspire creative confidence—all in a fun, welcoming environment.


Weekly Tuesday Class for Kids (Ages 8-13) [Fall '26]
This engaging after-school membership class offers young artists a chance to dive deep into creative exploration while building real technical skills. With small class sizes and a warm, supportive environment, students receive plenty of individual attention as they grow into confident, independent makers.

Youth Clay Pottery Wheel- [September 12th]
Give your child a hands-on intro to the pottery wheel in our Youth Wheel Throwing Class for ages 6–12! Held monthly in Colorado Springs, this beginner-friendly class teaches kids how to shape bowls, planters, and more using real ceramic tools. All materials included, and finished pieces are ready in 4–6 weeks. Scholarships available—email info@pikespeakartist.com to apply. Perfect for creative kids who love to get messy and make art!


Try The Pottery Wheel! [September 18th]
Join us for our wheel throwing mini course! No experience is necessary, and you don’t need to bring anything with you—just your enthusiasm. This engaging workshop starts with a brief demonstration from your instructor, showcasing the basics of wheel throwing. After that, you’ll have 30 minutes to explore the clay, shaping and molding your creations while expressing your unique artistic vision.


First Friday - Try The Wheel! [October 2nd]
Join us for our monthly wheel throwing mini course, part of Old Colorado City’s First Friday art walk! No experience is necessary, and you don’t need to bring anything with you—just your enthusiasm. This one-day pottery class is perfect for anyone looking to explore the art of handbuilding with clay no pottery wheel required! Whether you’re brand new to ceramics or looking to build on existing skills, this workshop offers a fun and hands-on introduction to the core techniques of handbuilt pottery.
