Children eagerly explore pottery techniques during a hands-on art class, guided by their attentive instructor.

Weekly After-School Art Class

This engaging after-school membership class offers young artists a chance to dive deep into creative exploration while building real technical skills. With small class sizes and a warm, supportive environment, students receive plenty of individual attention as they grow into confident, independent makers.

✨ What to Expect Each Week

🎨 Guided Independent Art (20 minutes)

Students begin each session with time to explore their own creative ideas using a variety of materials — including painting, drawing, sewing, papercraft, and sculpture. This time encourages artistic independence and peer collaboration in a relaxed, inspiring setting.

📚 Core Art Lesson + Project (1 hour)

Each class features a focused lesson on art history, technique, or a new medium, followed by a hands-on project that puts the lesson into practice. The curriculum is designed to balance skill-building with creative freedom.

🧼 Clean-Up + Art Game (10 minutes)

We wrap up each session with a quick clean-up and a fun, art-themed game to end on a high note.

🎨 Session Highlights

This season’s curriculum includes:

Pottery: Wheel throwing, trimming, hand-building, and glazing

Painting: Acrylic and watercolor techniques

Fiber Arts: Yarn work and sewing

Drawing: Still life and figure drawing

Independent Projects: Student-led creations using their favorite mediums

The class structure is thoughtfully designed to be approximately 25% independent creative time and 75% structured art education — giving students the best of both worlds.

💵 Pricing & Payment Options

$45 per class + $50 one-time materials fee

The full session includes 8 classes and all materials for $410 total.

We offer two payment options:

✅ Pay in Full:

One-time payment of $410 at registration.

✅ Monthly Auto-Bill Option:

Pay in installments —

September 1 and October 1 — until the balance is paid in full.

(Initial payment includes the $50 materials fee.)
