Weekly Thursday Class(Ages 6 - 9) | Iris Group [Winter '26]

Children enthusiastically engage in a pottery class, painting and crafting clay creations with focus and creativity.

🎨 After School Art Membership Class

This after school program offers in depth art instruction with our instructor Amanda. Small class sizes create a supportive and encouraging space where students can grow as confident young artists. The goal is to build strong creative skills so students can make art independently even outside of class.

🧩 Class Structure

✏️ Guided Independent Art (about twenty minutes)

Students explore a variety of mediums painting drawing sewing papercraft and sculpture while working on individual art pieces in a collaborative environment.

🎓 Core Art Lesson (about one hour)

Each week includes a focused lesson on art history technique or a demonstration of a new medium. Students will complete a project using that medium.

This structure offers roughly one quarter independent creative work and three quarters structured art education.

We will be covering

🎯 Pottery wheel trimming hand building and glazing three classes

🎨 Painting acrylic and watercolor two classes

🧵 Fiber arts yarn work and sewing two classes

🖍️ Drawing still life and people two classes

⭐ Independent project day one class

🎲 Clean up and an art themed game ten minutes

When Thursdays January 8th through February 26th 2026 (8 classes total)

Registration remains open until filled and later enrollment is available with proration

Time 4:00 PM - 5:30 PM in the afternoon

Ages 6-9 - Some flexibility is available please reach out if needed

💰 Pricing

Price 45 dollars per class plus a 50 dollar one time materials fee ($410 total)

✔️ Monthly Auto Bill Option

95 dollars due at registration which includes the materials fee and the first class. The remaining balance will automatically be divided into monthly payments from the date of enrollment until the final class date
