Join us for a playful and expressive exploration of portraiture that focuses on creativity, color, and personality rather than photo realism. In this class, students will learn the foundational techniques of portrait drawing and painting while creating fun, bold, and imaginative portraits that celebrate expression and style.
We will cover essential portrait concepts such as facial proportions, structure, color choices, and mark making, all while encouraging experimentation and personal interpretation. Students will work from curated photo references provided by the instructor and will receive plenty of individualized guidance throughout each session.
This class is open to all levels and all mediums. Whether you prefer paint, drawing materials, or mixed media, you are welcome to work in the way that feels most exciting to you. Expect a supportive, encouraging environment with lots of hands on instruction, creative freedom, and colorful results.
This class is perfect for all skill levels and painting mediums, so whether you're a seasoned painter or just starting out, you'll feel right at home.
Please remember to bring your own painting supplies to class. For any questions, feel free to contact Erin directly. 🖌️✨
