🎨 What You'll Learn


This workshop is designed for adults (18+) who want to gain practical skills in basic clothing alterations. Whether you're a thrift store enthusiast, a vintage fashion lover, or simply someone who wants their clothes to fit better, this class will give you the tools to confidently modify garments at home.


You’ll learn how to:

  • Hem pant legs, dresses, skirts, and sleeves

  • Adjust elastic and non-elastic waistbands

  • Patch holes and repair seams

  • Sew buttons and create buttonholes


🧵 What You Can Bring

Each student should bring one item of clothing they’d like to alter during the workshop. This could be something that needs a better fit, a small repair, or a creative refresh.

  • Dates: Every first Wednesday

  • Time: 6:30 PM – 8:30 PM

  • Location: Pikes Peak Fine Arts Studio

Your tuition includes access to:

  • Studio sewing machines (or bring your own!)

  • Fabric scissors and cutting stations

  • Basic sewing tools: pins, needles, chalk, etc.
