Hands working with clay at a pottery wheel
A group of teenagers enjoys a pottery class, focusing intently on shaping clay pieces in a bright and inspiring studio environment.

This one-day pottery workshop is perfect for teens looking to get creative with clay—no pottery wheel required! In this beginner-friendly class, students will learn the foundational techniques of handbuilding, including pinch, coil, and slab construction.

Whether they’re brand new to ceramics or have worked with clay before, this workshop offers a mix of structure and creative freedom, with plenty of time to explore personal style.

Throughout the session, teens will design and build their own pieces by hand. Some projects may include:

  • 🍵 Pinch pot mugs or tea cups

  • 🐉 Sculpted creatures or mythical figures

  • 🏠 Fairy houses or miniature dwellings

  • 🪴 Coil-built bowls or planters

  • ✨ Textured wall hangings or trays

We’ll provide all the tools, clay, and materials—just bring your imagination and a willingness to get a little muddy!

This is a great introduction to the world of handbuilt ceramics in a supportive, teen-focused environment.
