👨👩👧👦 Pottery Handbuilding Class for Adults & Children
This one-day pottery class is perfect for anyone looking to explore the art of handbuilding with clay—no pottery wheel required! Whether you’re brand new to ceramics or looking to build on existing skills, this workshop offers a fun and hands-on introduction to the core techniques of handbuilt pottery.
You’ll learn how to pinch, coil, and slab-build to bring your creative ideas to life. With guidance from a professional instructor, students will explore ways to create both functional and decorative pieces.
✨ What You’ll Make:
You’ll have the opportunity to handbuild up to three clay pieces, such as:
☕ Mugs or cups
🌿 Planters or trays
🕯 Luminaries or lanterns
🐉 Sculptures and imaginative forms
We’ll also touch on surface texture techniques, tool use, and how to shape and alter your forms to give them character.
Expect a fun, hands-on experience with plenty of guidance and encouragement from your instructor.
💸 Class Cost:
$75 per adult • $60 per child(Children must be accompanied by an adult.)
Includes 3 lbs of clay per person, all tools, glazes, and firing of up to 3 pieces per person.
🔥 After Class:
Your finished pieces will be glazed and fired in our studio and ready for pickup in 4–6 weeks. We’ll notify you by email and text when they’re ready.

👥 Who Can Join:
Open to adult/youth pairs (ages 5+).
**This is not a drop-off class—a participating adult is required to attend and create alongside the child**
