Elyssa Klett
Sewing Instructor
Elyssa is a sewist who has been sewing since she was a kid, when her mother forced her to sew her own school uniforms. While she didn’t appreciate her newfound skills then, she has been able to use sewing to take on more creative pursuits as an adult, including a stint where she chose to make any new clothes that she wanted. Elyssa’s classes aim to share sewing as a method for expressing yourself in your daily life. She aims to create an environment where you are supported to tackle the projects that you are excited about and can take risks, whether that be altering items to fit your unique needs or creating items from scratch. The goal of her classes is for you to say “I made it myself” when people ask where you got your clothes, accessories, or other sewn items. Outside of Pikes Peak Artist Collective, Elyssa has experience in corporate learning and development within government and tech sectors.
