Mother's Day Pottery Projects (Hand & Wheel) - [April 6th]

Writer: PPACPPAC

Hands working with clay at a pottery wheel
A joyful moment in a pottery class as a mother helps her son craft a bowl, their hands covered in clay, sharing creativity and laughter.

Designed for all skill levels, this special Mother’s Day-themed class offers a fun and hands-on introduction to both handbuilding and wheel throwing. While anyone is welcome to attend, the projects and inspiration will focus on creating heartfelt gifts just in time for Mother’s Day. 💖

Students will learn the basics of handbuilding, which can be used to craft thoughtful and functional pieces such as jewelry dishes, vases, trinket boxes, or personalized plaques. 🎁 On the wheel, you'll explore essential techniques like centering, opening, and shaping clay to create round forms—perfect for making mugs, bowls, or candle holders. 🏺 Whether you prefer to handbuild, use the wheel, or combine both techniques, we encourage creativity and personalization.

You’re welcome to make whatever you like! ✨ Whether you want to create alongside your mother (or mother figure) 💕 or craft something special for someone you love (or yourself!), we promise your handmade piece will be ready in time for Mother’s Day.

👩‍👧 Open to all ages! For those 15 and under, an adult is required to attend with you. Come ready to play with clay and make something truly special! 🎨✨
