🎨 What You'll Learn

This class is designed for all skill levels and covers the full ceramic process — from raw clay to glazed, finished pieces. Each week, you'll receive personalized instruction and plenty of time to practice. Over the course of six sessions, you'll learn:

  • Basic handbuilding techniques

  • Wheel throwing for bowls, mugs, and cylinders

  • Trimming and surface design techniques

  • Glazing your finished pottery

  • Creative exploration with shapes, textures, and decorating methods


🏺 What You Can Make

Throughout the series, students will create a variety of functional and decorative ceramic pieces, such as:

  • Bowls, Mugs, and Plates

  • Small sculptures

  • Vases and Planters

  • Serving dishes and more


Each student is encouraged to explore personal ideas while building foundational pottery skills.

  • Start Date: Sunday, June 1st, 2025

  • Duration: 6 weeks (1 class per week)

  • Time: Sundays, 3:00 PM – 5:00 PM

  • Location: PPAC Clay Studio

Your tuition includes everything you’ll need to get started:

  • 10 lbs. of clay

  • Pottery tools (you're welcome to bring your own too!)

  • Use of studio glazes

  • Kiln firing for your finished pieces
